Areas of activity
In order to create a new Russian market based on IIoT technologies Rostelecom plans to reach the following primary goals:

Development of an IIoT market, including by promoting the initiatives in the business community, statutory regulation and development of industrial standards
- Creation of platforms for implementation of pilot projects;
- Provision for transfer of the best foreign practices and technology in the field of IIoT.
In order to reach these primary goals Rostelecom works in the following areas:

Forming of long-term partnerships with the leading companies in the sector
Currently, Rostelecom has established a number of partnerships with manufacturing companies. These partnerships are designed for development of Industrial Internet markets and technologies, joint programs, and research, applied and commercial projects in this area. Relevant agreements have been made with Korolev RKK Energiya, JSC Rotech, JSC Russian Space Systems, PJCS NPO Saturn, JSC Uralvagonzavod, and LLC IK SIBINTECH.

Russian Association of Industrial Internet (RAII)
RAII was created with the aim to ensure Russia’s active involvement in the world’s digital revolution and development of a civilized industrial Internet market. Basically, RAII serves as a means for multi-stakeholders’ interactions between various players on the industrial Internet market. Manufacturing companies, solution design and development organizations, integrators, IT firms, telecommunications and infrastructure companies, administrations of cities, universities, science and research centers, farm companies, transportation companies, development institutions and investment funds can be RAII members. Rostelecom played a leading role in RAII creation initiated in 2015. Currently RAII serves as a legal and organizational basis for creation of Industrial Internet Consortium endorsed by the Russian President in his Instruction NoPr-2642 of 18 December 2015. Participation in the “Internet+City”* work group
The main task of the Internet+city subgroup is to ensure economic growth of the national Internet industry and improved performance of traditional industries in the general economy of cities through Internet technologies implementation and creation of new high-tech markets.
* This subgroup was created within the framework of the Working Group for using Internet in the national economy while building its modern technological basis and in the social sphere.
- Interaction with development institutes (National Technology Initiative of Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Internet Initiatives Development Fund);

Cooperation with research and educational organizations
The efforts are aimed at fostering training of skilled professionals in the field of production automation, promotion of IIoT in the relevant education environment in order to generate in future demand for associated technologies and at making tangible efforts to established specialized departments and laboratories in leading higher education institutions and science organizations to develop and design applied IIoT solutions.

International activity of PJSC Rostelecom in the field of IIoT.
PJSC Rostelecom is an active participant in activities of Study Group 20 of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) involved in IoT standardization. Rostelecom is also a member of Industrial Internet Consortium, founded in 2014 in order to unite organizations and technologies required for accelerated implementation of Industrial Internet through identifying and promoting world’s best practices.
